David Crosswhite is a 30-year veteran of customer-centric growth and innovation strategy and new business model development and affiliated early-stage businesses and start-ups. David’s work addresses issues that range from innovation strategy to new product and service development to addressing disruption with the creation of and investment in new business models in rapidly changing ecosystems and landscapes. It often includes a significant component of building capability for ongoing innovation and addressing the cultural and legacy business model issues that stand in the way.

David was a Managing Director and then Chief Operating Officer of Strategos for 16 years. He worked with B2C and B2B businesses across industries to help them drive their growth and innovation agendas. At Strategos and then Kaufman Hall, David spent significant time working with healthcare systems and retail health organizations as they looked to build more patient-centric care delivery models and new ventures to generate alternative revenue streams. David has also spent significant time working with MedTech and life sciences companies and start-ups to help them build their go-to-market strategy and offerings as a Partner of the Growth Strategy practice at PA Consulting. Most recently, David served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Unified Patient Network (UPN), a revolutionary new model to support the precision medicine research data needs of both commercial biopharma and non-profit academic medical centers. Both in UPN and beyond, he has been focused on leveraging leading technology and techniques to accelerate organizational agility and growth.

David writes and speaks regularly on the topics of innovation, incubation, and new business model development in current-day environments. He co-authored The Innovator's Field Guide, published by Wiley and Sons, as well as many other articles on the topics of growth through innovation. His work in the field is well documented in multiple Harvard Business School and Corporate Executive Board case studies. He has served as an Adjunct Faculty at Notre Dame (Mendoza Graduate College of Business) and a Guest Lecturer at The University of Chicago (Booth) and The Loyola (Quinlan) Graduate Schools of Business.

David earned his MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a BS in Engineering from Lehigh University.
